It is summer ... but.

Nobody knows the value of relaxation more than I do. My good friends would tell you that I had a minor in relaxation. I once had a professor offer me a pillow at the start of a class ...nice.

In my house we look forward to those winter storms that shut down our lives and the kids stay in their pj's (hence the term jammy day) while I go out and snowblow the driveway.

We had a jammy day today, no snow but lots of rain and while mom cleaned the bedroom and dad tackled the basement the kids divided their time between video games TV and general lounging. Tomorrow however will be different there will be some structure, besides the usual suburban soccer requirement we will have some piano time even though piano lesson are over until the fall. We will also have some reading time.

We won't be doing math worksheets or anything but it's good not to totally let the mind go to mush.

It doesn't have to be music or reading, it could be puzzles, you'll think of something that does the trick.
